George & Rachel's Wedding at Glassonbury; A Wedding with a Flash Mob!

George and Rachel met each other on the other side of the world a number of years ago while they were both travelling. They both stopped off in Queenstown, New Zealand, where they met through a mutual friend one night. Litte did that mutual friend know at the time but she would later be baking their wedding cake for them! George and Rachel hit it off within minutes of meeting each other and as they say, the rest is history. Months later they moved to the UK, where George is from, to start a new life together.

Rachel and George celebrated their nuptuals in Rachel's hometown of Killashee in Co Longford. Rachel got ready at home, next to the family pub in the village, 'Magan's', where I'm sure one or two of the guests sampled the local brew.

On the morning of the 16th of June 2012 Rachel was busy getting ready with her two sisters, both bridesmaids, and everyone looked amazing. Even their little dog looked dapper in his dicky bow!

Within minutes Rachel had arrived at Kilashee church, where, during her childhood years, she spent many a Sunday morning. But this day was different, this day Rachel walked up the aisle to be met by the man she would spend the rest of her life with. It was an emotional greeting from the groom George as the realisation set in that their big day had finally arrived. He was overwhelmed with joy.

Guests came from far and wide to celebrate their day with them and what a day they had. Rachel, George and their guests did not stop smiling and laughing all day long from the morning preparations to the flash mob later that night. Yes, that's what I said, a flash mob. George organised a group of guests to come to the dance floor following their first dance to rock out 'Start me up' by the Rolling Stones.

After the ceremony George and Rachel celebrated with their guests in the Glasson Hotel and Golf Club in Co. Westmeath.

The cake was designed and created by the very talented Saoirse Milotte of Hotcakes London(who had a big hand in making this day happen). Check out her facebook page to see more of her amazing work - HotcakesLondon

After some very heartfelt and extremely funny speeches the party began and within minutes the dance floor was packed with guests dancing in sync as part of the surprise flash mob. Weeks before the big day, George secretly sent the choreography around to guests via Facebook to practice. The practice paid off! It was a huge hit on the night and Rachel was left speechless as she looked on in shock and amazement!

Wishing you both many, many more years of laughter!
